Anyone use a microscope to examine their compost tea? I haven't used a microscope since Jr High.... Does it matter which (inexpensive) one is used? Differences in features? Hmmm, where can they be purchased?

The lease inexpensive one I've seen recommended by Dr Ingham is about $400. She likes the ones running $800 to $1,200. I can't comment on the differences but the science stores could. If you can find a store that really sells a lot of microscopes, that would be your best bet.

UT southwestern (Parkland/childrens/ect) property warehouse has an auction of excess equipment once or twice a year. My friend picked one up there or if you are a school teacher you can take whatever you want for free as long as you have a school ID or a letter from a school official authorizing you to pick up equipment for your school district.
