You can use any of the Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) products. They come in liquid, powder, or solid donut (Mosquito Dunks). It will kill mosquito larvae and caterpillars by giving them a lethal infection of their digestive tract but does not hurt mammals. Click on the link below for more info.

I hate when this happens. I just wrote up a long list of places mosquitoes breed and got an error posting it. Hope it doesn't happen this time.

Mosquitoes will breed anywhere there is water. Check these places you might not have thought to look.

1. Old abandoned water hoses hold water.
2. Cupped plants, grasses, and cut bamboo shoots hold water.
3. Pot trays hold water.
4. Dog bowls and buckets hold water.
5. Rain gutters and barrels hold water.
6. Some plastic play toys hold water.
7. Some plastic tool sheds hold water.
8. Some swingset equipment can hold water.
9. Cupped rocks or toys under a deck can hold water.
10. Abandoned cars or other appliances can hold water.
11. Use your imagination.

Does spraying the yard with Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) products hurt lizards? I have quite a few lizards in the yard and would like to spray for Mosquitos and the big roaches without killing the lizards. Also when you spray with Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) products when should it be done and how much?

I have had luck with Skeeter De (defeater or deleter?). it is spray you buy at lowe's and other stores that hooks up to your water hose and is sprayed on the yard and trees and bushes. i think i am gonna try cedar cide's product next week. in addition to the other product as we still get the buggers - but i think that is a result of living behind a creek.
