Post subject: moving from VA zone 7 to DFW area zone 7

I am excited to be moving to the Dallas Fort Worth area, mentally planning my landscaping and wondering if I can plan to use the same type of plants I have in my current location in Norfolk VA. Thanks a Bunch!

Although the zone number is the same, the climate is different. A great book to refer to is "Plants of the Metroplex III" by John Howard Garrett. (This was my very first introduction to "The Dirt Doctor")! Many folks in the DFW area would agree that the book is most helpful.
