I bought Howard's 'Texas Gardening, the Natural Way' at the beginning of this year and have been able to turn my home landscaping around 180 degrees. These methods are the way to go if you are at all concerned with your impact here on Earth. I eventually found my way to the radio show and website. This site is one of the best things on the internet. Way to go dirt doctor.
