We have recently decided to go organic in our yard and garden. We are in Grapevine with very sandy soil.
Where do we begin? Our lawn has grubs and an all too happy mole. The garden area is just now being prepared (was previously a mulched area), hoping to plant our first crops this spring
Thanks in advance for any tips or resources you might be able to share.

Hi!, Mitchell!
I live in Grapevine too.
That mole is happy because he's probably eating your grubs!
Beneficial nematodes will help eliminate those grubs (unless you want to let the mole have them.) You can get them at Green Mama's on Davis Blvd in NRH.
As for the mole, try sprinkling used coffee grounds on the molehills and mole trails, then water the grounds in lightly. You can get them for free at Starbucks. I stopped by my neighborhood Starbucks yesterday and they gave me a 5 gallon bucket full (BYOB)! Besides helping chase moles off, the grounds are a decent soil amendment, a pretty good source of nitrogen and won't hurt the soil at all.
