I have several pots that I will be bringing for the winter, would like some kind of flush to pour into the plants that would take care of any insects lodged in the soil so they do not get into the house. Any ideas.?

Thanks, Mary, I was just about to post the very same question !!
Where are you located ???
Sure hope we'll get some answer(s) before too long.
Blessings, Pambi
***Disclaimer*** I have not tried this personally, so I cannot vouch for its effectiveness.
What about adding a small amount of orange oil to your plant water? Too much will definitely be dangerous to the plant. I'm thinking an ounce of orange oil to a gallon of water.
Again, this is a total WAG on my part and someone may come along and correct me. But no one else has chimed in.
Let us know what you do and how it works.
EDIT: To add the obvious. Try this on 1 plant before doing them all
