In live in DeSoto, TX. My "Georgia Bell Peach" tree (approx. 9 yrs old) is oozing, out of the bark, some gooey gummy substance. It looks like peach nectar. The ants seem to enjoy it because the tree is covered with ants. The bark of the tree appears to have lesions that have opened and the gooey gummy substance is coming from the lesions.
The tree is not damaged. I have never used any chemicals on it. It presently has an abundance amount of peaches on it and they are doing well. WHAT IS GOING ON?
