I have several pecan trees on my property. One of them is rather spindly but has a beautiful shoot growing off the bottom. Looks like part of the tree had been cut off and the shoot started from that point. I'd love to plant the shoot somewhere else but obviously, it doesn't have it's own roots. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Personally I'd let it grow and see how it reshapes as it becomes the predominant growth.

Thank you so much for your response. I think your suggestion is a wise one. The shoot seems so happy where it is - you are right - I should just leave it be and see what happens. Thank you again.
