A friend has asked when is the best time to plant shrubs. I believe now is the best time, but he asked when is the "cut off" date. That I do not know. When are the best times for planting new shrubs, trees, etc.?

I think now is the best time because there's less of a chance that they will dry out. But, anytime of year is okay unless you're digging them. I don't think there is a cut off for container-grown plants.
