I have an area in my yard which continues to remain wet even after french drains were installed. Actually the drainage improved-no longer boggy but wet/moist. I've now resorted to work with what I have. So I'm looking for plants/trees/shrubs which do well in wet/moist soil in North Texas. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hands down, the best large shrub or small tree for that area is the wax myrtle. They love it. I have a similar situation and the ones I've planted have grown to over 5-feet in about 18 months.
