what can I do to help this shrub.It's losing it's leaves and it's purple leaves are turning white.and the ones next to it are fine.they are around a pool and during the spring seemed to be doing better,now it's looking sorry..would it be in the roots?or the leaves? thanks for your help!

Yuck, that sounds downright scary!

Is the pool chlorinated?
Is it a diving pool?
If so, the chlorine could be splashing onto the plant.

I'm sorry I don't have more help to offer.

If it were mine, & the surrounding plante were the same kind, & I couldn't find out what the problem was, I think I would remove the sick plant before whatever it is spreads to its neighbors.

Thanks for your response,I may remove them and replace them.However if it's in the roots ,then I'm back where I started.No it's not a diving pool.
