I HAVE WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE A LARGE MATURE POST OAK IN MY YARD. I AM LOCATED ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF FORT WORTH. FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS THIS TREE HAS DEVELOPED A WHITE SUBSTANCE ON THE LEAVES THAT IS STICKY TO THE TOUCH ON THE LEAVES, AND WHEN IT FALLS OFF THE LEAVES. I HAVE BEEN TOLD APHIDS MAY BE TO BLAME, HOWEVER NO VISIBLE INSECTS APPEAR. ALSO TWIGS FALLING DURING THE SUMMER HAS BEEN REPORTED TO BE TWIG GIRDLER DAMAGE. THIS TREE IS ON THE NORTH ,SHADY SIDE OF THE HOME, AND THE ST. AUGUSTINE AROUND IT IN THE SHADE SUFFERS FROM BROWN PATCH IN THE LATE SUMMER, AND EARLY FALL. ANY HELP FOR TREATMENT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

REGARDS;

LBANDMB
