Can anyone tell me about a fungus that is killing post oaks in the Wise County area. The county agent told me that there was nothing you can do. I am watching trees in my yard die and will probably see more next year if I can't get this stopped.
I can't see your trees so there may be some truth to this fungus theory. However, it sounds like a quick convenient answer to me. Is this new construction or a city lot with trees on it that have been there a while? Give us a little background on your situation.

The house has been at this location for 20 years. We lost two last year that were near the foundation and/or a concrete drive. This year the trees are in open spaces. The county agent said he would come look at them if I did not see the fungus when I pulled the bark back. I did not see anything so I plan to ask him to come out. Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated. Thanks.
