 Post subject: Prune or Cutback?

Location: Witchita Falls,TX
I have a Russian Sage and Plumbago Auriculata bush that are now dormant for the winter. Do these need to be pruned or cutback before the spring? Or should I just leave them alone and they'll come back in the Spring? I live in North Texas.
