I am fairly new to the whole organic program. I have been buying the prepackaged Garrett Juice in quarts from Calloways, but as many plants and trees as we have, I have been going through it rather quickly. I found it more economical to buy the ingredients seperately and make it myself. The question I have is regarding the apple cider vinegar. Will Heinz brand work? Or does it have to be a particular type?

As I understand it, the only reason for the vinegar is to change the pH for shelf life. You can leave it out completely if you want. And I've seen how the stuff is made. Garden-Ville here in San Antonio makes it. If you make it at home with fresh made compost tea, it will be a much better product than the store bought stuff.

Doesn't matter what brand you buy. For a Garrett Juice mixture, make sure you are buying 5% Apple Cider Vinegar. Watch out for Apple Cider Flavored Vinegar; it is not the same stuff. You can find the vinegar cheaper at local feed or garden centers.
