is it typical to find lots of little flies in raised garden beds when one has amended the soil with organic mushroom compost?

this is what I am experiencing and I can find no info doing a google search. I keep row covers over the planted area so maybe that encourages them?

thank you

Frankie

Yes. Those are fungus gnats. No problem unless you let them bother you.
