I am having problems with a newly planted rhododendron - the leaves have brown on the edges and are dropping off. I did not know about the "Dirt Doctor" until recently and did not soak the root ball properly before planting and then we moved it around a bit after that too. I'm assuming it is some kind of fungus. We live in Missouri and had a good amount of rain this spring and more recently. I watered it when there wasn't rain and don't know if I watered too much or not enough. I sprayed it with baking soda fungicide and drenched it with cornmeal juice and Thrive last week. I just ordered some Bio-Wash Plant Wash hoping that will help. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions? Thanks.
How often are you watering? I would soak the rootball 2x a week only and give it fertilizer 1x a month. Do not keep it soaking wet. You may be overwatering.
