Was wondering if you would get the same results if you used shredded paper in a compost tumbler rather than the dried leaves & etc I have access to paper rather than leaves & wondered if this would make any measurable difference in the end result Thanks, Linda in Ponder

All browns are essential in composting for supplying carbons for microbes and developing humus, whether the browns are paper products, leaves, straw, unrtreated sawdust, or 100% cotton rags!
Microbes and earthworms don't care! Always mix browns with greens in order to speed up decomposition, and to produce a healthy supply of compost for the soil organisms to use to build and condition the soil.
