I have a one year old aloe vera plant that is outside and gets morning sun for about 4 hours. The soil is good. Everything I plant in that bed grows without problems. It has grown 4 fold and has not had any problems and has done well up until these that few weeks. Now the plant's outer leafs are turning a dark brown, wilting and dropping to the ground to die. I cut them off and the center of the plant still produces inner leaves. I placed some compost around it and spayed it with garrett juice. Did not help. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the plant? Do I need to but it all down to the base and wait for it to sprout again or just leave it alone?

Did you just put it out or was it out all winter? How moist is the soil? Aloe doesn't need much sunlight but doesn't like too much water. It would prefer more sunlight. I have also seen Aloe dry up & brown lower leaves when it is too dry. Need more info!
CK the link below for more info.
