I moved into the Park Glen Community (N. Ft. Worth) last year and noticed some sick looking trees. My neighbor later told me they are texas ash trees and many have already died or are dying. I have a good sized texas ash in my yard that has entire limbs that appear to be dying back (primarily at the top or crown). It also has dropped perfectly normal green leaves throughout the spring and summer. There are no insects present and the tree has adequate water. My research leads me to believe it may have ash yellows which I read is a terminal disease withour cure. I need help identifying its illness and any possible treatment. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you.

What's the soil like there? How is the site for drainage?
Tell us what's been used on the site as far as fertilizers, etc. Any and all info would help. You might take a sample of the leaves, put them in a zip-bag and then clean the outside of the bag with dish-soap. Once the outside's clean, take it with you to a a nursery that can eyeball it. Don't open it at the nursery, since you certainly don't want to spread any ick it mihgt have.
