I have a raised bed and was not able to till soil beneath because of lines below (cable, phone lines), and I am wanting to know what can I purchase in bags (do not have truck) at local nurserys to fill raised bed.
Also, can I mix mowed leaves that are falling from my trees into this mixtrue that I will be using to fill raised bed?

The leaves should be fine, just dont get carried away with them in the mix. Top dressing this bed with them might be your best use of them. As for bagged soils, the best you can get in my opinion are the Soil mender top soils and Back to Earth composts. A great selecton of these can be found at Waltons Garden center on Garland road across from the Arboretum. Like anything else in life, you get what you pay for, so stay away from those 99cent top soils in the box stores. Be sure to add in lava sand, green sand, dry mollasses, some type of trace minerals and an organic soil food. Ck. out Howards bed prep here on the web site. Also try to work that soil below as much as possible and mix in some of the goodies I have mentioned. Take your measurments to your local garden center and they will fix you up! Good Luck

I wanted to add on to this because I overlooked a great Garden center in Mesquite, Rons Organics located at 1820 S. Beltline. Good luck with your garden.
