We're starting to raise chickens and lambs, and want to feed kelp meal as a supplement. Can anyone recommend some good (and preferably not outrageously expensive) sources for kelp?

I don't know where you can go in Austin but there is a difference in kelp brands. Neptune's harvest and Thorvin are about the best. This isn't my opinion, it is the taste test of our cows. Some they will not touch.
Can you go to Rabbit Hill farm in Corsicina. They delivery to nurseries in many areas. Call them and see if they deliver close to you. They also have the best trace mineral salt from Redman Utah. 903 872 4289
