I dont really know where this subject goes but here goes. Does anyone know how to keep squirrels out of my flower beds. They plant acorns in them and then later go back and dig them up. I donw want to kill them just to keep them out of the beds. Thanks for any help

A hot dry pepper or a hot pepper spray works well. You will have to re-apply after rain or watering. A dog or cats help although they (esp. dogs) can do their own damage.

You can also humane trap them and drop them off at White Rock Lake Park... or any other such area. Since a female squirrel only mates with a male once, I figure I'm just helping to expand their gene pool...
I just read your message about keeping squirrels out of flower beds. I am using (just this month), red lava rock in my flower bed and veggie garden to deter cats and squirrels. It appears to be working just fine. NO DIGGING, and no cat c*** either Hope this helps.
