I am interested in planting a sweet olive. However, I have heard both that it will make it, and that it won't make it in the ground in North Texas.

Does anyone have experience with this plant?

Thanks for the help!

I'm in N TX and purchased one from Calloway's last Spring (2003) and it wintered just fine. Have it in part sun and watered every few days in the Summer. Haven't tested it for drought tolerance.
