I live in Middle TN, and have about 1.5 acres to take care of. The dirt is a mixture of clay, rock, and some semi decent top soil. The yard is about 5 years old, however it was a farm prior to me building my house. I sowed Kentucky 31 fescue and it is somewhat decent. I guess in the 5 years I have been here, I have probably sowed 300 pounds of seed and results are a terrible yard. It is full of johnson grass, crab grass, chickweed, and clover. Johnson grass is terrible...so I started doing research and found this forum. I have also read some stuff about using sugar on the lawn to reduce weeds and fertilize the grass. What do you suggest????

How often and how deep do you water?

How high do you mow?

How often do you fertilize?
