Just acquired some property and noticed two laurels on the land. One is dying and the other is doing fine for now. After closer inspection of the trees I noticed a hole in the base of the tree about 3/4 to 1 inch bored into the base of the trees about 3 inches deep does anybody know what this could be and how to treat it?
