Tony M mentioned the Texas Smartscape cd, they also have a website:

Great website for native/adapted plant uses, plus planning ideas. Made for North Ctr. Tx, but still has good ideas for the rest of us.

Thanks, lil, for posting this site. I'm in the early stages of of planing my back yard landscaping project and this web site looks like it will give some great direction.
