I just got a beautiful blushing knockout rose and I thought I found a perfect place to put them... I was preparing the soil (digging out weeds, roots etc) when I came across THOUSANDS of tiny black-brownish ants running through the soil. Will these ants hurt my new plant or is it something that is benificial? If it will hurt my plant, how do I get rid of them? Thanks

They're probably harmless. Just plant there and let the ants stay or go as they please. We have some like that in our yard. No problems.
