Actually, the super St Augustine is doing very well. However, it appears that it has always had a very mild SAD-infection and is therefore useless to produce. The symptoms only affect <1% of the leaves and the symptoms only appear from September to the first frost, but nonetheless, it can’t be used for anything marketable.

The strange part is that it has been infected for at least 15 years with SAD and seems to survive just fine with no ill effects.

Texican: I used to think the same thing about buffalo until I saw Turffalo. It really is not bad looking at all. The seed heads are short and grow at the same rate as the grass, which is a boon. The seed heads are brown; however, so there is a brownish cast to the green. But it is definitely a dense green and not blue green.
