Finally this weekend we begin to plant the garden. Three weeks ago we had it deep plowed because we are in VERY black clay soil. We deep plowed the entire acre and made really nice 100 pound clods of clay. It took another 10 hours of discing to make them softball size, then an additional 10 hours of tilling to make the ground appear to be plantable. Over 150 yards of semi ready compost was added and you can barely tell its there! dry molasses was also added and as soon as we plant we will begin the weekly routine of liquid feeding with the new alpha bio system product "Thrive" as well as Garrett juice plus with a little orange oil added. 1000 onions and 600 potatoes go in this weekend. I MUST BE CRAZY!
Plan on posting some pictures next week of this city boy trying to garden on a large scale! Hopfully Ms. Daisy and I will survive the weekend.

probably got a little carried away with the amount, but we are learning as we go. We will give some to the local food bank, share some with friends, then maybe sell some at the rockwall farmers market. So far Ms. Daisy has planted all the onions, and we plan on finishing the potatoes this weekend.
