The red plants are amaranthus that has reseeded. Yes, I'm late getting the bare soil around the plants mulched. Will do it this week.

Here are the original amaranthus plants. They were planted from old seed that had been in the dogrun for years. I don't remember the variety but I'll try to dig it out. It's really a beautiful plant but needs plenty of room.
