I have not grown it but I have seen it and taken pictures. You can see seven of those pictures by clicking here. I have some other pictures, but they don't seem to be on this computer. I'll look around and get the rest of them up.

I am not sure what caused the dead spots in full sun. These pictures were taken at the beginning of June. Later in the year spots were gone.

I saw it at 4 inches tall, 2 inches tall, and 3/4 inches tall. The pictures were the 2 inch tall lawn. All three looked very good out in full sun. If you have any shade in the yard, you may want to consider a different ground cover.

While I was taking the pictures I laid down on it and apparently I'm allergic to it. I'm allergic to many grasses, but not to St Augustine, so it has been a long time since I got itchy from grass.
