Does dry molasses need watering right away? My yard keeper mowed my yard today and I watered everything, He was supposed to spread dry molasses for me today, but forgot to bring his spreader. He said he can do it next Tuesday. Then it won't get watered for another ten days. Is that all right? Or should I have him wait until the next time he mows?

The sugar is going to attract moisture once it is scattered and is going to begin to settle into the yard and garden even without being watered in. The yard will smell pleasantly like syrup for a few days. :)

Thanks for your help. I'll follow your advice. It's sprinkling here in Texas today so maybe that will be enough until I can water again OR maybe it will RAIN!
