last fall i planted 2 types of mustard greens, one was florida broadleaf don't remember the other but a common hybrid. crop did very well. when they flowered out they were attracting bees etc of early insects so i let them go to seed thinking of harvesting the seed to make fresh mustard. cut the heads but never got around to threshing the seed. they just lay on the ground and directly i had vounteer mustard in early may. let them go and i have had mustard greens all summer long. very unusual as harlequin bugs always take care of any leftover kale crops i have by late may/ june. nary a bug problem all summer long and now some of them are starting to flower. they have wilted severely in the heat but have always come back with little watering.
has anyone else grown mustard through a texas summer?

It's because of the mild winter, long spring and summer rains and not nearly as hot as usual. It's not a common occurrence.
