I was reading about using automobile exhaust to kill gophers... Would that also kill benificial nemitodes etc in the soil too? I hava a huge gopher and mole problem here :cry:

I've often wondered if the exhaust kills the beneficials, too. It certainly does curtail the gophers.....

While I am just speculating, I doubt that it would do any real harm.... most of it would flow out again and not percolate up through your whole soil area.

Even if it percolated throughout the soil, you have to have red blood cells for carbon monoxide to kill.

If you were considering getting a dog, Jack Russell Terriers are well known for killing invading rodents, weasels, groundhogs, possums, etc.
