my plants on the patio in pots have ants. what should I use to get rid of them. I've mixed some DE in the soil and put pecan mulch on top.

You can drench the soil with Neem or other organic insecticides. If you wish, you can include the insecticide in your Garrett Juice or other mixture. The DE as a repellent seems to only work when it is totally dry which is not usually the case with plants/pots.
