WANT TO PLANT PLUM TREES IN SAN SABA, TEXAS. HAVE A HOUSE ON EAST END OF PROPERTY, FENCING ON THE WEST END, WANT PLUM TREES THAT BEAR FRUIT, LOOKING AT A METHLY PLUM TREE, WONDER IF THIS IS THE CORRECT TREE FOR THIS AREA AND WILL THE TREES GET ENOUGH SUNLIGHT

Torch, check your local nurseries and see what is recommended there. From what I've seen, Plums have the same general needs as apple trees in the area. They tend to be a zones 5-8 or 5-9 kind of tree and should be readily available to plant this time of year.

The only mail order source I've ever liked for fruit trees is this one:
