We're remodeling and I was just reminded of something. The sawdust from treated lumber will provide at least 8 year's supply of microbe killer where ever the carpenters saw their wood. There is a dead spot in my lawn where I mistakenly sawed some treated lumber 8 years ago. I just vacuumed up the mess and asked the guys to move their sawhorses to the driveway where we can sweep it up more easily.

Wow! That is interesting!

If all you want is the 8-year mulching material, that is great.

However, if you wanted to speed up the decomposition of the treated wood chips, I wonder if lots of extra molasses or sugary products would encourage more fungi growth and decomposition on the woody mulch?
