I heard something about using Vicks VapoRub on last Sunday’s show. Something about using it would remove a bad fingernail? I have a fungus infection under one of my finger nails that corn meal is not clearing up. I thought if I could remove the nail then the corn meal might do the trick.
Thank you

I don't believe that it removes the nail. It was reported by someone to cure some fungus problems. Good luck!
-UPDATE-
On Howard's show this weekend, he said that the nail came off and new one was growing back. It was probably the new growth that caused nail to come off ??

Inactive Ingredients:
Cedarleaf oil, nutmeg oil, special petrolatum, thymol, and turpentine oil.
Camphor, menthol, eucalyptus, cedar, nutmet, thyme (thymol) and turpentine are all antiseptic/antimicrobial, making them good candidates to fight fungal infections.
There is some discussion of this on Usenet (search Google Groups), particularly in the diabetes context. Toenail fungus that is annoying for the otherwise healthy person is a serious issue for diabetics. I've seen some discussion on the idea of custom formulating a more potent version of VapoRub for that purpose.
