Have a 6 x 8 ft. trellis in sunny spot that needs vertical growth. Trellis is 30" away from house and 6 inches from eaves so do not want something invasive. Recommendations? Prefer something that blooms.
Will it be planted in the ground, or in a pot by the trellis? I think passion vine would be great but remember that you will be planting the favoroite food of the gulf fritillary butterfly so you have to expect some bright orange caterpillars munching on it.
Coral honeysuckle might be nice too and will attract hummingbirds. Not nearly as invasive as the other varieties of honeysuckle.
