Has anyone had any trouble with a white/grey weevil...maybe a rose chafer? that inhabits fruit trees and potatoes? I saw a few of these hanging around and a week later all my potatoes (about a 6X6 foot plot) were dead as doornails. I've also seen them on my very young apple and pecan trees. They are the ugliest little things I've ever seen and are about an inch long with two wings and a long snout.

Do you have access to a digital camera? A photo would be helpful. It would also be helpful to know where you live.
You mentioned seeing these critters on your apple and pecan trees. Have they had any effect on the trees?
