Have found various types of sedum; lavender, alpine, one with a silvery color; is this plant a succulent? Perennial? Any special treatment for the winter? Thanks! L.W.
There are many sedums, all are succulent and many are perennial for us in this area. They are typically tough, easy to care for plants for both the garden and containers. You can have problems if your area is too wet. They prefer good drainage. No special winter care needed. Most sedums will die down during the winter, then re-emerge in the spring.
