1 cup of basic "H" per 100 gal of water. My understanding is that it kills them. We also feed "DE" daily but not free choice. I don't think they get enough "DE" when done free choice.

I believe Salatin uses it every other month for 48 hours at a time to ensure all the animals get a chance to drink a full dose. He also mentioned that the animals seem to go on an eating frenzy when he uses it. Maybe they're trying to get that soapy taste out of their mouths
