Soft Water

Question: Can soft water injure plants, trees and grass? This question is important to those of us who have installed water softeners and then learned that soft water also comes out of our outdoor hydrants. B.F., Fort Worth

Answer: Yes, but an organic program helps, especially if compost tea or liquid humates are used. Spray the products on the plants and on the ground at least every two weeks.
