SPCA Adopt a Pet

From previous weeks, August was adopted. 
Sasha and Duke are still waiting for a home.
 Here is the new dog for this week.

Sammy

 

Sammy is a fun loving boy who just wants to live life to the fullest. He is a two-year-old white- and tan-spotted Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs 38 pounds. He's super silly and loves to play and have a good time. Sammy was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 23 for another chance of finding a forever home. His previous owner did not have time for a dog. Plus, he's smart and active, so he may do well with agility sports. If you are an athletic individual looking for a companion that can keep up with you on the jogging trail, look no further than Sammy! Come on by the shelter for a get acquainted meeting. #6912154

 

Sammy is waiting to meet you at the SPCA of Texas' Dealey Animal Care Center in Dallas at 362 South Industrial Blvd near downtown. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Regular adoption fees are $185-$285 for puppies 0-6 months, $95-$195 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $75 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for cats, $125 for kittens, $75 for senior cats 7 years and older and $50 for VIP cats.  Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, a feline leukemia test for cats four months and older, a microchip, a rabies tag and a free leash or cat carrier.   Sasha

Sasha is a one-and-a-half-year-old female German Shepherd mix. She's a fun, high energy girl who weighs about 45 pounds. She would prefer to be in a home where she will get lots of exercise and playtime. Sasha gets along with other dogs, but she needs to be in home without cats. She is also a little protective of her food, so she should be in a home without small children. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 10 because her previous owner did not have room for a big dog. Sasha is already housetrained and ready to go home with her new person or family today. One look into her gorgeous brown eyes and you're sure to fall in love with her! #8360125

 Duke
 

Duke is a one-a-half-year-old male Shepherd mix who was originally adopted a few months ago, but his new owner was transferred on military duty and he couldn't go along, so back he came to the SPCA of Texas on September 9 for a third chance at finding a loving home. Duke is sweet and playful, and walks nicely on a leash, but he does need to be the only pet in the home (no cats or other dogs) and in a home without small children.
