Georgie Girl
Georgie Girl is a seven-month-old female Bull Terrier mix who was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from another animal shelter on September 10. Even though she looks grown up, she's still really a puppy at heart. Georgie girl has lots of energy and would love to be able to get outside and move around more. Growing up in the shelter is not so easy, but she makes the best of it. She has a friendly attitude, and she watches all the other dogs to see what she can learn. Georgie Girl wants to be a good dog for the person who takes her to her new home. She is also a student in the Pet Enrichment Basic Training program, where she is learning basic commands with positive reinforcement training. Come see what new skills she has learned! Georgie Girl is waiting to meet you at the SPCA of Texas' Dealey Animal Care Center in Dallas at 362 Riverfront Blvd. (S. Industrial Blvd.) near downtown Dallas. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Regular adoption fees are $185-$285 for puppies 0-6 months, $95-$195 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $75 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for cats, $125 for kittens, $75 for senior cats 7 years and older and $50 for VIP cats. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, a feline leukemia test for cats four months and older, a microchip, a rabies tag and a free leash or cat carrier. Sammy
Sammy is a fun loving boy who just wants to live life to the fullest. He is a two-year-old white- and tan-spotted Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs 38 pounds. He's super silly and loves to play and have a good time. Sammy was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 23 for another chance of finding a forever home. His previous owner did not have time for a dog. Plus, he's smart and active, so he may do well with agility sports. Sasha
Sasha is a one-and-a-half-year-old female German Shepherd mix. She's a fun, high energy girl who weighs about 45 pounds. She would prefer to be in a home where she will get lots of exercise and playtime. Sasha gets along with other dogs, but she needs to be in home without cats. She is also a little protective of her food, so she should be in a home without small children. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 10 because her previous owner did not have room for a big dog. Sasha is already housetrained and ready to go home with her new person or family today. One look into her gorgeous brown eyes and you're sure to fall in love with her! #8360125
