As I was watching the sprinkler go this morning I had to wonder...

Is all of that good stuff I sprayed on the plants going to wash off, or does it somehow absorb into the leaves?

I sprayed neem for the first time the other night (stinky stuff, if you ask me... no wonder the bugs leave the plants alone), and the bottle says it works for something on the order of six weeks. Since the sprinkler went off this morning, would I be well served by re-applying, or am I okay?

Same goes for the Garrett juice / compost tea. Should I re-apply?

Many thanks,
Chris

As far as the Neem goes since it is an oil it should be harder to wash off. Unless your sprinklers are pushing some serious psi's. :P Garrett juice and Compost Teas are absorbed by the leaves, at least the nutritional parts are absorbed. Now if you add any additional things to ward off the critters that rely on residue they will be washed off unless they are oil based i.e. (Neem, Orange Oil) I agree Neem is some pretty stinky stuff but it seems to work rather well. :)

Keep in mind that anything organic you spray on plants benefits the soil if it washes off during the rain or sprinkler waterings. The Neem insecticide control after a watering - I'm not sure of. What does label say?
