my only treatment this year to my yard (and beds) as in the past has been a healthy spreading of corn gluten meal and molasses. I did use dry molasses vs liquid form this year. Right now most of vines (fence and beds) and Japanese boxwoods are fried! could they be od'd on molasses or b/c we had a good freeze or two here in Dallas that's my problem???????

I think the cold is what fried plants in the Metroplex this year, not your application of molasses, dry or liquid. That touch of cold we had on Monday turned the tops of my previously healthy potatoes into burned-looking foliage. And you don't want to see what my bay laurel looks like after that horridly cold 9 degree night in early March.
