Puppies eating Pecan Shells - Vet says they contain cynide - shells scattered over huge backyard by birds and squirrels - have mulched most of yard as of yesterday - is there a non-toxic spray to discourage eating the shells? Puppies are 7 & 8 mo. old Chihuahuas - older Chi (11yrs.) never had this problem with her - just rescued these puppies from a sad existence! Help!

Surely your vet doesn't think your pecans are contaminated with the most toxic poison known to man.... I had a dog that ate some bottle caps and a sock once, he was fine. You are just going to have to disapline the dogs. Your dogs will be fine. :)
