I have a shumard oak that I performed the sick tree treatment on last summer. It looked great in the fall and currently is growing faster than last yr. that being said I have cracks appearing everywhere. New growth, on the trunk, and the branches. I have read and heard on Howard's show that sudden increase in growth can cause cracking at the flair and trunk. Does this apply in my current situation? Here is a close up photo

It's hard to see but look to the far right of my thumb along the branch and you will see where it splits. This is all over my tree.
