We have crape myrtles that have been established for a number of years but have not bloomed for the last two years. Any suggestions about adding something to the soil or any other hints? They get sprayed for powdery mildew, so that's not a problem. Perhaps they get too much shade (the trees have grown over the years) but they do get sun and are out in the open. We live on ten acres and have eight in a row with one elsewhere "flying solo". Thanks for your help.

I'm asking this question for my mother. She lives out in the country and her crepe myrtles are not blooming either. Could this be the result of my dad fertilizing the lawn around the crepe myrtles? My mother is worried about the amount of crop spraying that goes on in their area and is wondering if perhaps this has something to do with the "failure to bloom." Any ideas would be appreciated.
